Man's fascination with Internet

From the book "God's Debris" by Scott Adams.

As we speak, engineers are building the Internet to link every part of the world in much the same way as a fetus develops a central nervous system. Virtually no one questions the desirability of the Internet. It seems that humans are born with the instinct to create it and embrace it. The instinct of beavers is to build dams; the instinct of humans is to build communication systems. Rationality can’t explain our obsession with the Internet. The need to build the Internet comes from something inside us, something programmed, something we can’t resist.

Amazing thought, what do you think?

hi

could'nt find any other email address so have resorted to "desperate measures".

i'm neha, am a product designer and i work with a design firm based in delhi. this email is regarding a project we're doing with a design firm based in the US. they are here researching on multimedia mobile users in india and as part of the research we are meeting people and getting to know their opinion!! we plan to conduct a workshop with a group of people and the design team, part of which has already happened in delhi over the past 3 days and will be in bangalore from tommorrow.

while looking for people weblogging and mobile logging in bangalore i chanced upon metroblogging and then flickr and then on to this personal blog.

your profile seemed to fit our little classification and since the past couple of hours i've been trying to get some contact number of yours but with no luck, so this was the only option left, figured i might just get lucky here as you've recently updated your blog.

so i'll cut it short. do let me know if you'll be interested to know more about this workshop/session and i'll send across some stuff by mail. also my collegue will be in bangalore with the other design team so he could get in touch with you. even if you are not interested maybe you could help us by informing us of any other people you know who fit the profile. oh by the way i can send you the details of the research and profile to a personal email address if you could send me one. my email add is neha@quicksand.co.in

thanks and regards and all apoligies for not commenting on the article written....
