March 8th - International Women's Day

Today is International Women's Day. A celebration of being a women who, as intelligent men have already quoted, is the cradle of all humanity. We are, because She is.

Women's Day is celebrated more as a reminder of the struggle faced by those ordinary woman who wrote history. Because of them, the world today accepts the woman in daily life, in equal footing with men. Celebrating Women's Day is recognizing and honoring those women in their struggle to achieve the degree of independence and freedom enjoyed by women today and to inspire the women of tomorrow.

The song for today? "She's Always A Woman To Me" by Billy Joel.

She can kill with a smile, she can wound with her eyes
She can ruin your faith with her casual lies
And she only reveals what she wants you to see
She hides like a child, but she's always a woman to me

She can lead you to love, she can take you or leave you
She can ask for the truth, but she'll never believe
And she'll take what you give her as long it's free
Yeah, She steals like a thief, but she's always a woman to me

CHORUS

Ohhh... she takes care of herself
She can wait if she wants, she's ahead of her time
Ohhh... and she never gives out
And she never gives in, she just changes her mind

And she'll promise you more than the garden of Eden
Then she'll carelessly cut you and laugh while you're bleeding
But she’ll bring out the best and the worst you can be
Blame it all on yourself 'cause she's always a woman to me

CHORUS

She's frequently kind and she's suddenly cruel
She can do as she pleases, she's nobody's fool
And she can't be convicted, she's earned her degree
And the most she will do is throw shadows at you,
But she's always a woman to me

CHORUS

Hey
Am leaving a comment because I couldn't find an email to write to on your profile. I really liked your observation on one of my tales. You wrote 'in the old age, when they lose out on the attention of their children, it is only curiosity in the mundane and miscellaneous that get them a little high'. You've summed it up so well. Reading a nuance that I never intended. I'm humbled by readers who enrich a simple tale with their take on it. Thank you.
