Where will the NetCafes go now?
While we laud the recent developments in the communication infrastructure that has led to availability of Broadband in our homes (this post is also being done from home - courtesy bharti broadband)... we seldom stop to think of the scenario that existed just 5 years ago. We used to frequent netcafes and get our internet work done from machines set up in "booths". :-)... This rediff article set me thinking as to what ever would happen to these cafes? Well, adopting to change is how a business can survive. And it remains to be seen how these netcafes can battle it out with the Broadband ISPs.

What do you think should these netcafe owners do?

not all can survive this broadband onslaught. the popular ones can go a bit more diversified with print and scan services (something that people cannot afford as induviduals), perhaps even gaming, some premium online services that might be expensive to buy at home, can be bought by these cafes' and collected propotionate from the user depending on usage.
