Thought Controlled Computer

Paralyzed? Any other restrictive physical disability? No problem. You can still use a computer. Thanks to the innovative project called "Berlin Brain-Computer Interface".

The Berlin Brain-Computer Interface (BBCI) was created by researchers from the Fraunhofer Institute in Berlin and Charité, the medical school of Berlin Humboldt University in Germany. It debuted at CeBIT 2006 @ Hannover, Germany. This computer can be controlled by thought alone. How? You have to wear a helmet like gadget filled with electrodes that monitor your brain signals. Merely by thinking that you want to move the cursor left or right, you can actually achieve the same. You can even type messages on the screen.

3 cheers to innovations like these that provide a new ray of hope to the physically challenged people! Yayyy!!

Innovative, but doesn't it sound a little complicated?

To us, yes. But to the disabled, anything that provides them access is a blessing. What say?
